Top-quality fish exclusively processed in Scotland's Granite City

Managing Director - Ed Fletcher
Granite City Fish is one of Scotland’s most dynamic fishmongery businesses – catering for a retail and wholesale range of private and corporate customers the length and breadth of the country.

Operating from production processing premises at Poynernook Road, Aberdeen - in the heart of the city’s maritime area, the company’s name is redolent of Aberdeen’s history when it became synonymous with the fishing industry – building the vessels, and providing both their crews and the workers who processed the catches landed at the bustling fish market.

However, the advent of the North Sea oil and gas industry has seen Aberdeen’s fishing industry mantle taken over by Peterhead, which has rapidly expanded to become Europe’s largest white fish port.

ranite City Fish now sources its comprehensive and diverse range of fish and shellfish products from  the Shetlands to Cornwall in the UK and, globally, as far afield as Malaysia.

The company, which celebrated its golden jubilee two years ago, is a second-generation family firm headed by managing director, Ed Fletcher, the son of the firm’s co-founder Gina Fletcher.

It has retail shops in Carnoustie, Forfar and Perth, and also has regular stands at the highly-popular monthly country fairs and farmers and produce markets in Aberdeen and Stonehaven, and other special events across Scotland.
